Boston, Massachusetts – August 18, 2024 – David O’Leary, guitarist, songwriter is set to release a new EP, “Wish I Could Go Back,” on August 18, 2024. This EP marks a return for David O’Leary after a 20 year hiatus from music.
Wish I Could Go Back features a captivating collection of four tracks, each dealing with feelings of isolation, loss, and regret.
The EP blends classic rock, anthemic choruses, and explores themes of isolation, longing for home, and regret. From the soulful opening instrumental of “The Long Goodbye” to the energetic “Eire Forever,” each song tells a unique story, offering a rich and diverse listening experience.
“For any artist, releasing new music always comes with a mix of anxiety, trepidation, as well as excitement and creative reward. Not having written or released any music in over 20 years amplified all of the above feelings a thousand times over. As humans, we all experience isolation, loss, and regret and my hope is that the music connects with people and becomes a soundtrack to their own experiences.”
The lead single “Wish I Could Go Back” has already generated buzz and has been featured on Radio Nova Ireland, AUXIOS FM France, and has earned praise for its storytelling lyrics and emotional music.
SRE Radio says: “A lovely and atmospheric song that captures the heart and imagination of the listener, lovely lyrics although extremely sad and regretful but very well written and expressed.”
Wish I Could Go Back will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. For more information, interview requests, or to receive a review copy of the album, please contact:
